FRI 1 September 2023 Public Talk: HOW TO LIVE WITHOUT ILL WILL Many people are unhappy without knowing it is due to their unconscious ill will and resentment. If you want to find out how to live without ill will and resentment, this talk is for you.
Saturday: 2 September 2023 TIBETAN GAME OF REBIRTHTIBETAN GAME OF REBIRTH Rinpoche will give Teachings on Buddhist beliefs of dying and rebirth. For the first time, enjoy the authentic Tibetan Board Game of Rebirth, revealing how we managed to earn this precious rebirth. The board game shows the stages of mental development on the path of enlightenment. This educational board game, invented by Sakya Pandita (1182-1251) consists of 104 squares, each of which represents a stage of mental development on the Path of Enlightenment. The game is a tool to teach children and adults about Buddha’s teachings without becoming bored. The aim is to quickly get out of each square and hold a positive thought each time before throwing the die. However, the next square you land on may not progress you up the path to Enlightenment, but rather, see you slip back to a lower square. Something like the game of snakes and ladders! Rinpoche will introduce, explain and assist us to play this board game.

SATURDAY & SUNDAY TEACHINGS: 21 TARAS
Date: 6-7 May 2023
Time: Saturday 9am to 6pm (AEST) + Sunday 9am to 530pm (AEST)
In a female form, Tara symbolizes the knowledge and compassion of all enlightened creatures. Finding and establishing a connection with our inner potential for wisdom and compassion can be done quite effectively by meditating on Tara. It also aids in removing barriers to following a spiritual path and working for others.
At the repeated request of students, Lama Choedak Rinpoche will offer empowerments of all the 21 Taras according to Suryagupta Tradition of Maha Annuatara Yoga Tantra.
Rinpoche will also impart the instructions on how to do the practices of each of the 21 forms of Taras and show the use of the individual mantras to allay various problems.
One will learn how to execute the Green Tara Puja in addition to giving thanks to the 21 Taras. One will learn how to carry out the entire ceremony. If you have a vajra and a bell, bring them. If not, you can buy them at the centre.
People who are interested shouldn’t pass up this opportunity because this is a rare occurrence.
All who attend this special are requested to actively participate in each session – not just the empowerments, as you will need to participate in all sessions to learn all 21 Tara practices, specific mantras, transmission and instruction on their use and application in one’s practices.
At special request, Lama Choedak Rinpoche is doing this 21 Tara empowerments according to Suryagupta Tradition of the Anuttaraya Yoga Tantra for the first time. He will go through each of the Taras thoroughly. In the Atisha tradition all the Taras are identical except in color.
